ABOUT
HEAP is a program that has been around since 1969 in Huntsville, Texas.

HEAP has a long-standing tradition in Huntsville, Texas. It has been around long enough for the children that attended in it's early years now have children and grandchildren that currently participate.
During the 1980's Linda Pease who is now at the Wynne Home ran HEAP and it used to be available to adults too.
John Fortner and his family ran the HEAP program for 17 years. John has now retired. If you see him around town, thank him for his tireless contribution to this wonderful program.
All instructors are certified teachers and some are retired teachers who just love to teach fun things.
HEAP is a program funded by the City of Huntsville and directed by HISD.
HEAP activities will take place at Mance Park Middle School.
Instruction is provided for 2 different age groups.
Trac 1 is ages 6-9.
A student must be 6 by Sept. 1, 2024 or have just finished Kindergarten.
Trac 2 is ages 10-13.
A student must be 10 by Sept. 1, 2024 or have just finished 4th grade.
